LeComte Production Yachts



LeComte Yachts produced seven distinct models ranging from 33 to 52 feet, as well as building many other non-production boats. Production was in Holland, beginning at Jutphaas, then moving to Vianen. The first fiberglass yacht, a Medalist 33, was built in 1961. The last is less clear - there were two ALC 46 hulls built in 1983 which weren't finished until 1995, one was finished in Holland by 'Saffier', the other in in New Rochelle by LeComte Yachts.

Newsflash

Doug Heckrotte, Quetzal's owner, has offered to take over as webmaster of the LeComte Owner's site. Thanks, Doug! Given that I've (Chris) been busy elsewhere, and no longer own a LeComte (although I obviously still love them), this is very helpful of him, and should be very good for the site as he gets his feet wet and figures out how to maintain things. I'll still help out as I'm able, but since that's proven to be sparse in recent times, this is very good news.
